COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES EXAMINATION (I), 2025

Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination is conducted by UPSC for admission to:

  1. Indian Military Academy, Dehradun
  2. Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala
  3. Air Force Academy, Hyderabad
  4. Officers’ Training Academy (OTA), Chennai

UPSC invited application for Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2025 from eligible Indian citizens

  • Overall vacancies: 457
  • Seats are reserved for those who have NCC ‘C’ Certificate.
  • Salary Scale: 56,100 – 1,77,500

* Upper age limit for candidates holding Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable upto 26 yrs. i.e. born not earlier than 2nd January 2000 and not later than 1st January 2006

  • Application Fee: 200/- (No fee for SC/ ST/ Women)
  • Exam will be conducted on 13 April 2025
  • Exam will be held at 78 centres across the country. In Kerala, there are 3 centres viz Trivandrum, Kozhikkode, Kochi
  • Scheme of Examination: Examination comprises (a) Written Examination & (b) Interview for intelligence and personality test
